01 · Family-run
A long-standing address in Patara
Because the pension is still run by the same family, the stay feels more direct, personal and human than a larger anonymous property.
About Us
St. Nicholas Pension has been part of Patara for decades and remains family-run. It offers an easy, personal stay close to the beach, the ruins and the everyday rhythm of Gelemis village.
St. Nicholas
This house has welcomed guests to Patara for a long time. We have renovated it more than once, but we never wanted to lose the warm, informal way it works.
St. Nicholas Pension was one of the first places to stay in Patara, and our family has been running it for more than thirty years. Instead of turning it into a large hotel setup, we kept the scale small enough to know our guests and stay part of village life.
During the day you can move easily between Patara Beach, the ancient city and the streets of Gelemis; in the evening you return either to dinner at the restaurant or to your balcony room. For us, good hospitality is exactly this kind of relaxed flow.
St. Nicholas
What people remember here is usually not luxury in a loud sense, but family care, straightforward comfort and the feeling of staying inside real village life.
01 · Family-run
Because the pension is still run by the same family, the stay feels more direct, personal and human than a larger anonymous property.
02 · Rooms
All rooms come with a balcony and air-conditioning; hot water is available all year and Wi-Fi works across the whole property.
03 · Mornings and evenings
A substantial Turkish breakfast is served on the terrace in the morning, and in the evening the restaurant settles into a slower open-air dinner atmosphere with local and international dishes.
04 · Flexibility
If a room is ready, early check-in can often be arranged, and after check-out we try to help with a place to change or shower.
Rooms
Standard and superior rooms work well for couples, friends and small families; every room includes a balcony, air-conditioning and the practical basics for a calm stay.
Superior rooms are more spacious and include a mini fridge and TV, with a kettle available on request. After a long beach day, the goal is a room that stays cool, simple and easy to use.
Restaurant
St. Nicholas Restaurant has been run by the family since 1990. It remains one of the most loved parts of the property on summer evenings.
The kitchen combines traditional Turkish food, selected international dishes and local produce whenever possible. Many fruits and vegetables, including tomatoes, cucumbers, peppers, aubergines, olives, grapes and melons, come from our own garden.
Gelemis village
Patara is not defined by the beach alone; Gelemis village, with its family businesses and slower evenings, is just as important to the atmosphere.
Village life
Guesthouses, restaurants and shops in Gelemis work on a smaller, warmer scale. That gives the village a more human feeling than a mass tourism base.
Evenings
The village has restaurants for different budgets, relaxed garden places for drinks and a gentle evening life that can stretch into live Turkish music.
Useful details
ATMs and local services are close to the property, while the nearest pharmacy and doctor are about 3 kilometres away. When needed, we help guests arrange things.
